One car came to rest pointing eastward on the south should of the westbound lanes of Iowa Highway 141.
The vehicles came to rest about 50 feet apart after colliding early Sunday near the Dallas County Hospital.
A two-vehicle collision blocked the westbound lanes of Iowa Highway 141 near the Dallas County Hospital early Sunday.
No injuries were reported in the mishap.
Officers of the Perry Police Department are investigating the crash, which occurred about 2:45 a.m. just east of 12th Street on the state highway.
One of the passenger cars came to rest in the roadway and pointing northward in the westbound lanes of Iowa Highway 141, and one car came to rest pointing eastward on the south shoulder of the roadway.
Officers arrested 18-year-old Jarkevion Raines in the shooting of a 17-year-old teen

PERRY, Ga. Perry police are investigating after a teen was shot at 1353 Sam Nunn Parkway Thursday afternoon.
According to a news release from the Perry Police Department, officers got the call around 3:30 p.m. about a person shot. Once they made it to the scene, they found a 17-year-old teenager who had been shot in the groin area. The release says the shooter ran off into a neighborhood located on W.F. Ragin Drive. Officers found and arrested 18-year-old Jarkevion Raines. Raines was taken to the Houston County Detention Center where he is charged with Aggravated Assault.

“I feel sorry for the families who were not able to see him go to trial and get closure,” Perry Police Department (PPD) Inv. Ray Kellerman said. “And also for the families who will (now) never know what happened to their loved ones, especially the parents who have lost their children.”
Coon Rapids Police Chief, Andy Klein, says a 14-year-old female was involved in the theft of one of their police vehicles Sunday that resulted in a multi-county high-speed chase. Klein says Officer Paul Whitenack was assisting a juvenile female who had walked a way from a relative’s home. The officer was driving the suspect back to the residence and had gone to the door to talk with the relatives when the girl took off in the cruiser. The Iowa State Patrol, Greene and Guthrie County Sheriff’s Offices and the Perry Police Department were involved in the chase that ended when stop sticks were deployed and the vehicle went off the road and into the ditch near Perry. No injuries have been reported but Klein says it is estimated the 14-year-old female reached speeds of up to 110 miles per hour during the pursuit. Klein says there is a few thousand-dollars-worth of damage to their vehicle, but no official estimate has yet come in. At this time, the juvenile has been charged with first-
