Lake Twp: Judgment entry filed in zoning dispute Published by news@presspubli. on Fri, 05/14/2021 - 4:00pm By:  Larry Limpf Wood County Common Pleas Court Judge Matthew Reger has signed a judgment entry that settles a dispute between the Lake Township trustees and James Mlynek, the owner of Woodville Road Nursery. The parties were in a disagreement over two parcels Mlynek was using as a temporary transfer station for piles of leaves and yard waste that were to be mulched at his nursery on the other side of the road. Judge Reger’s order, which was filed May 5, stipulates the board of trustees will consider Mlynek in compliance with the township zoning resolution if he meets certain conditions on the parcels, including:

It was a challenging year but I would say it was a success. It operated at breakeven point, which was the idea, not to be a money maker. It was reinstated to be a service to the community, which it was.”

Twp.: Court dismisses road repair case Published by news@presspubli. on Fri, 01/15/2021 - 4:00pm By:  Staff Writer A complaint filed by Lake Township against the Village of Walbridge over maintenance of a stretch of Drouillard Road has been dismissed in Perrysburg Municipal Court. A maintenance agreement dating back to August 1977 for the village to maintain Drouillard Road from Cummings Road to the village southern corporation limits was “void and unenforceable,” the court ruled, noting the agreement wasn’t signed by the village administrator. A 2018 court case between the village and a pool repair company was also cited by the court.
