Kano State governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has said in an effort to fully appreciate federal government presence in the state, in the area of infrastructural development, among others, his administration’s plan to construct 3-layered road interchange around NNPC roundabout, which would also be named after President Muhammadu Buhari.
Ganduje made the assertion during the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected local government chairmen of the 44 local governments in the state which took place at Kano Pillars Stadium, Sabon Gari, Kano.
President Buhari, as governor Ganduje, puts, “Must be appreciated for doing all these things to us. Our administration will construct 3-layered road interchange, with flyovers around NNPC area, we will also name it after President Muhammadu Buhari, just to appreciate him over such kind of good gestures for the state. He deserves this absolutely.”
Shehu, in a statement issued on Friday, said the Emir, Alhaji Faruk Umar Faruk, led District Heads and traditional title holders to receive the President at the Helipad in Daura.
The presidential aide said the President is expected to, among other engagements, participate in the All Progressives Party (APC) membership registration and revalidation exercise in the course of his stay in Daura.
He said President Buhari considered the exercise as a very important one for the nation’s democracy and its yearning for good leadership as a requirement of the process of nation building.
He recalled that President Buhari had in a broadcast last week urged “all good people,” not only to speak but to rise up and “get involved in the task of improving their society,” adding that “for most citizens, their greatest weapon is their vote. Register now for your Party and register when the time comes for elections.”

President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived Daura, his hometown, at the start of a four-day official visit during which he will participate in the membership registration and revalidation exercise of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
A statement issued by Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant to the President (Media & Publicity) in Abuja said the president considers this exercise as a very important one for the nation’s democracy and its yearning for good leadership as a requirement of the process of nation-building.

PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari has arrived Daura, his hometown, on a four-day official visit. He was welcomed on arrival at the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua International Airport, Katsina by the Governor, Hon. Aminu Bello Masari, the Deputy Governor, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly and the Chief Judge.
