No new cases of COVID-19 and two recoveries were reported in the County of Haliburton in the last two days.
One case remains active in our county as of Tuesday afternoon.
91 cases were added in the rest of the district in the last 48 hours, 11 in Northumberland and 80 in Kawartha Lakes.
The local health unit confirmed the sudden rise in numbers from Kawartha is in part because of additional cases within the Central East Correctional Centre (CECC) in Lindsay this weekend.
The Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit declared an outbreak at the CECC on May 17 after six inmates in various areas of the facility were confirmed positive.
Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington Public Health has some good news to share with the region.
Staff are reporting no new COVID-19 cases today, and 11 more recoveries. There has though been one more variant of concern case added to the overall totals.
That brings KFLA to a total of 27 active COVID-19 cases.
Hastings Prince Edward Public Health has announced four new COVID-19 cases today, and 11 more recoveries.
Local health officials note that 10 people are being treated in hospital with four in ICU and three on ventilators.
Outbreaks have gone down to two at the moment.
