The covert and intelligence operations of this agency provided the axis for an entire conspiratorial framework that led to armed invasions, coups d’état against democratic presidents, assassination of leaders, destabilization of countries, training of terrorists and military officers of other nations, the application of interrogations under torture plus the systematization of methods of obtaining information in violation of human rights, and all other kinds of illegal actions.

Caracas, Apr 10 (Prensa Latina) Venezuela s armed forces are stationed along the border with Colombia, as part of the Bolivarian Shield military operation, during which rapid-action troops were deployed. After the attacks by irregular Colombian armed groups in La Victoria town on March 21, the Strategic Operations Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Force (CEOFANB) deployed its troops in the state of Apure, and strengthened surveillance in all territories bordering Colombia.
As part of the containment actions, the military high command activated a special comprehensive defense operation zone that covers three municipalities and more than 700 kilometers of bordering line, commanded by Major General Javier Benitez Marcano.

Caracas, Apr 9 (Prensa Latina) Venezuelan senior military officers on Friday confirmed that Colombian irregular groups planted anti-personnel landmines to spread terror and violence among La Victoria population, in Apure state.
According to a military report, during the Bolivarian Shield military operation, carried out by the National Bolivarian Armed Force (FANB) since March 21, the illegal use of explosive devices in that bordering area with Colombia, a theater of clashes between Bolivarian and paramilitary forces, was detected.
Sixteen explosive devices in adjacent areas were defused during the operations carried out in recent days, while the explosion of others killed Venezuelan soldiers, according to official reports.

Caracas, Apr 1 (Prensa Latina) The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) reiterated on Thursday they will hold firm against attacks by Colombian irregular groups that seek to take control of border areas in the Venezuelan state of Apure.
An official communiqué issued on Thursday states that we will continue to employ all our combative capabilities as much as needed to neutralize these criminals, wherever they are, as we will not yield even a millimeter of the sacred territory of the Homeland to their bastard interests.
