A planned new road for South-East Clare and Limerick is at the centre of a growing disagreement amongst government partners.
At last night’s parliamentary party meeting, Clare Fianna Fáil representatives Cathal Crowe and Timmy Dooley were among those who spoke out against the proposal by Greens leader and Transport Minister Eamon Ryan to seek alterations to the Limerick Northern Distributor Road Project, according to
the Irish Examiner.
Another TD who spoke out on the issue, Limerick’s Willie O’Dea, later said that Taoiseach Micheál Martin and the wider Fianna Fáil parliamentary party backed a motion calling for the road to be completed in its entirety.

THE Parish Priest of Moyross has called on the Land Development Agency (LDA) clarify if it has any involvement in Regeneration at this time.
In an hard-hitting letter on behalf of the Moyross partners group, Fr Pat Hogan, who leads Corpus Christi church, said he is concerned following a meeting with Transport Minister Eamon Ryan last week.
Here, Fr Hogan claimed the Green Party leader had told him he had asked the LDA to draw up a new plan of “what is best” for the northside community.

DUBLIN (Reuters) - Ireland is to drop a ban on travellers from Britain and South Africa from Saturday and will instead require them on arrival to provide a negative COVID-19 test from the previous 72 hours, Transport Minister Eamon Ryan said on Wednesday.
The measure will remain in place at least until the end of January and the government will consider whether to impose the same measure on other countries with high levels of COVID-19 infection, Ryan told a news conference.
