Mumbai: NCB nabs another foreigner with 260 gms Heroin and 22 gms Cocaine

In its ongoing onslaught against the
drugs mafia, the Narcotics Control Bureau (
NCB) carried out raids in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai and nabbed a
Nigerian national with 260 gms Heroin and 22 gms Cocaine, a top official said here on Friday.

Sameer Wankhede said the Nigerian who is currently being interrogated is the 8th foreigner, with seven others of different countries caught and arrested in the past one year.
In the second raid, the NCB seized 55 gms of Mephedrone and caught one peddler Nasir Samiruddin from a location in the Jogeshwari west suburb in Mumbai.

In a statement, NCB Zonal Director Chennai Zone Amit Ghawate said on specific intelligence received by Indian Coast Guard and NCB, a Sri Lankan fishing vessel Ravihansi was intercepted by the Coast Guard on March 25 in Indian waters off the coast of Vizhinjam, Kerala. The NCB Chennai Zonal Unit took over the custody of the boat and seized 300.323 kg of heroin along with five AK -47 Rifles and 1,000 rounds of 9mm ammunition. The bail granted to Rhea Chakraborty by Bombay High Court last year was challenged by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in Supreme Court, reports
NDTV. The case will be heard on Thursday.
Chakraborty was arrested last year for allegedly procuring the drugs used by Sushant Singh Rajput, her boyfriend at the time. After a month, she was granted bail with conditions - signing a Rs 1 lakh bond and not leaving the country without the court s permission.

In October last year, actress Rhea Chakraborty was granted bail by the Bombay High Court after spending nearly two months in judicial custody. Her bail has now been challenged in the Supreme Court by the Narcotics Control Bureau(NCB). The case will be heard on Thursday.
