PORTSMOUTH Up to 40,000 people or more are expected each day of the Thunder Over New Hampshire air show on Sept. 11 and 12 at the Portsmouth International Airport at Pease.
The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds are the featured attraction over the two-day event that is being put on by the New Hampshire Air National Guard at the 157th Air Refueling Wing located at the airport. The gates each day at the base will open at 9 a.m. and close at 5 p.m.
The Thunderbirds last visited Pease in September 2011.

PORTSMOUTH The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds are returning to the skies of the Seacoast for an air show and open house at the Pease Air National Guard Base on Sept. 11 and 12.
Described as “America’s ambassadors in blue,” the U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron, the Thunderbirds, features six F-16C Fighting Falcons.
The Thunderbirds last visited Pease in September 2011.
The 157th Air Refueling Wing based at the Portsmouth International Airport at Pease will host the 2021 air show, which is free and open to the public. The gates each day at the base will open at 9 a.m. and close at 5 p.m.
Port City Air counters competition with new proposal for Pease airport

PORTSMOUTH Port City Air has a counterpunch in its fight to be the preeminent fixed base operator at the Portsmouth International Airport at Pease a proposed 73,200-square-foot buildout of its current facility in order to accommodate military flights, cargo and corporate planes, and more general aviation.
PCA is in a battle with Million Air Aviation, a Houston, Texas-based operator that wants to establish a new foothold at Pease.
While he said he is not opposed to competition from Million Air Portsmouth, Port City Air CEO Ned Denney said there needs to be an even playing field.
