It reports another 29 today, for a running total of 769.  There are 165 cases that are currently active. Yesterday, the Porcupine Health Unit reported thirteen new confirmed cases of COVID-19. Eleven cases are from the Timmins area and two are in the area of Cochrane, Matheson, Iroquois Falls, Smooth Rock Falls. Ten cases are contacts of a case and three are under investigation. We ve now had 734 COVID-19 cases in the Porcupine Health Unit region

SHARE ON: Timmins continues to be the COVID-19 epicentre of the Porcupine Health Unit region. Of the 13 new cases reported today, eleven are in the city. The rest are somewhere along the Highway 11 corridor between Smooth Rock Falls and Matheson. Twenty-nine cases moved into the “resolved” category over the weekend.
