The sobering news is the latest blow for the Porcupine Health Unit region which has seen an explosion in cases in the past week, including outbreaks at four schools, the Glencore Kidd Operations Mine Site in Timmins and the Township of Black River-Matheson. There are now 99 active cases in the region, which takes in the entire district of Cochrane, including Timmins, Cochrane, Hearst, Kapuskasing and Black River-Matheson.
