Neelofa and family issued compounds totaling RM60,000 for SOP violations

KUALA LUMPUR: TV host-entrepreneur Neelofa has been issued a RM20,000 compound for violating Covid-19 standard operating procedures during her recent wedding ceremony. Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Zainal Abdullah said Neelofa, whose full name is Noor Neelofa Mohd Noor, was issued the compound for failing to practise physical distancing. The compound is also for breaching interstate travel regulations by taking part in activities not permitted by police. No discount will be given for the compound, he said on Tuesday (April 27). ACP Mohamad Zainal said Neelofa s husband, Muhammad Haris Mohd Ismail, or commonly known as PU Riz, was issued a RM10,000 compound for breaching interstate travel regulations.

JOHOR BARU, April 27 A total of 12 enforcement officers from the police and Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) have been arrested for their alleged links to fugitive businessman Nicky Liow Soon Hee in the second phase of Ops Pelican 3.0. The massive operation, led by the Johor police contingent, made the arrests in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Melaka and Negri Sembilan between April 21 and 27.

Nicky gang case: 12 more policemen and MACC officers arrested

JOHOR BARU: Johor police have arrested another 12 enforcement officers from the police and the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) over the Nicky Gang case. State police chief Comm Datuk Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay said the arrests were part of phase two of Ops Pelican 3.0 carried out from April 21 and Tuesday (April 27). A team from the state commercial crime arrested the 12 officers of senior rank, including two from the MACC, for alleged involvement with the Nicky gang. The others are two police officers from Bukit Aman, four from Selangor police headquarters, one from Melaka headquarters, two from Kuala Lumpur headquarters and one from Negri Sembilan Pulapol Air Hitam, he told a press conference at the state police headquarters on Tuesday (April 27).

KUALA LUMPUR, April 27 The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has arrested two of its own officers on suspicion of links to fugitive Nicky Liow Soon Hee. Chief Commissioner Datuk Seri Azam Baki said in a statement today that the officers are now under police detention to facilitate investigations. “The MACC has arrested two of its officers believed to be involved in the criminal activities of the Nicky Gang,” the commission said.
