Alan Jones from Fredericksburg, Virginia isn’t content to drive just any old commuter box to get from A to B. Rather, his daily driver of choice is this 1986 Chevy El Camino, a ride he’s kept stock and sweet with more than 300,000 miles on the clock.
Alan originally purchased his Chevy El Camino in 2000, locating the classic coupe pickup in a yard alongside several other late-model GM vehicles, including a Chevy Conversion van, a Buick Century, a Buick Roadmaster, and a GMC pickup.
The collection belonged to a sweet old couple, who were asking for $3,000 for their 1986 Chevy El Camino. At the time, the El Co had 80,000 miles on it.

GPD attempted to catch up to the vehicle – a construction worker pointed police south where the vehicle was spotted again turning off Blaine Avenue back onto East North Street. The suspect vehicle weaved in and out of traffic and ignored numerous stop signs while speeding throughout the neighborhood which eventually forced police to discontinue the pursuit for the sake of public safety. The vehicle’s stereo and bass system could be heard from blocks away. Fifteen minutes later, dispatch advised the Buick’s owner reported it stolen. The owner told police he had an appointment at Professional Window Tinting and Custom Work that day, but the car was stolen from the parking lot.
