Former Conroe man charged with sexual exploitation of children to engage in sexual conduct

A former Conroe resident appeared in federal court Monday morning on charges involving minors and child pornography.
Timothy Lee Tyler, 42, is charged with sexual exploitation of children as well as distributing, receiving, and possessing child pornography.
According to a release from the Department of Justice, the indictment alleges that in 2016 Tyler did or attempted to employ, use, persuade, induce, entice and coerce a minor victim to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of producing a visual depiction of it.
On various dates in September 2020, Tyler also allegedly distributed, received, and possessed material containing child pornography.

Former New Bedford Cop Sentenced for Child Porn
A former New Bedford police officer has been sentenced to six years in prison for possessing and distributing child pornography.
Paul Hodson II, 44, of Acushnet, was sentenced today in federal court in Boston. In December 2019, Hodson pleaded guilty to one count of distribution of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.
Hodson was arrested in 2019 following an investigation into peer-to-peer file-sharing networks for the trade of child pornography. An early-morning search warrant was executed at Hodson’s home. The officer, then 42, was home with his wife and 6-year-old child, it was reported at the time.
