From the Courts - Federal Court: Spokane woman admits meth trafficking on Rocky Boy s Indian Reservation   From U.S. Attorney for the District of Montana GREAT FALLS A Spokane, Washington, woman suspected of being a longtime methamphetamine dealer in and around the Rocky Boy’s Indian Reservation today admitted trafficking charges, Acting U.S. Attorney Leif Johnson said. Kristina Dawn Russette, 30, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute meth. Russette faces a minimum mandatory 10 years to life in prison, a $10 million fine and at least five years of supervised release. Chief U.S. District Judge Brian M. Morris presided, setting sentencing for June 2 and continuing Russett.

A federal grand jury indicted Keeling last month for Stalking.  According to court documents, Keeling allegedly strangled his girlfriend in October 2020. Keeling pleaded to a misdemeanor assault charge in state court, and upon release, over the course of several weeks and while on ankle monitoring, violated court orders not to contact her numerous times. Keeling continued to harass and contact the victim by emailing her, following her and leaving notes for her, slashing her vehicle tires, and placing her in fear for her life. BILLINGS — A Billings woman admitted Tuesday to a drug trafficking crime after law enforcement seized methamphetamine, heroin and fentanyl during an investigation, Acting U.S. Attorney Leif Johnson said. Lisa Ann Emmett, 34, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute controlled substances. Emmett faces a minimum mandatory 10 years to life in prison, a $10 million fine and at least five years of supervised release. U.S. Magistrate Judge Timothy J. Cavan presided. A sentencing date will be set before U.S. District Judge Dana L. Christensen. Emmett was released pending further proceedings. In court documents filed in the case, the prosecution said that agents with the Drug Enforcement Administration developed information that Emmett and co-defendant, Anthony Walker, had been receiving distributable amounts of meth and heroin in the U.S. mail.
