Preceding Friday night’s Hermosa Beach Double A Little League game, the visiting Dragons and home team Cypress Park Prowlers lined up along their respective first and third base baselines for an address by league president Jeff Miller. Miller stood on the newly installed astroturf infield, facing a large, newly installed scoreboard that read Logan Field.

Don’t know what to do this weekend? Well, you’ve come to the right place. Pull up a seat to the counter, and I’ll tell you about everything that’s hot and happening.
I haven’t been skiing since Keystone Resort’s closing day on April 11. Even though there’s still time left in the season, I’ve unfortunately been timing the weather wrong. I accidentally make other plans when we get a surprise snowstorm and find myself free to ski when it’s uncharacteristically warm. I was extremely envious about the storm that came in Monday, May 10.
Logan Goodwinâs love of sports and his compassion for others will live on in the community several years after his death, his family hopes, with a renovated baseball field named after him in Hermosa Beach.
Logan was an avid sports fan and loved playing second base in the Hermosa Beach Little League. After he died at age 12 in a skiing accident four years ago during a family vacation in Colorado, a memorial fund was created in his name to keep his legacy alive and to improve schools and facilities in his hometown.
The Goodwin family, including parents Todd and Joann, donated $50,000 from an online fundraiser to the Hermosa Beach Little League that was used to provide a new backstop, scoreboard and artificial turf at âLogan Goodwin Field,â which was the East Field at Clark Field in Hermosa Beach.

At Keystone Resort, that includes the return of the downhill bike park and the Keystone Ranch golf course.
