WASHINGTON â The Justice Departmentâs examination of the investigations into Russiaâs interference in the 2016 election has cleared the C.I.A. of suspicions that it targeted President Trump and his associates, Attorney General William P. Barr said in an interview published on Friday.

WASHINGTON The Trump administration has notified members of Congress that it plans to close the last two remaining United States consulates in Russia.
In a letter dated Dec. 10, the State Department said it plans to close the consulate in Vladivostok, a major port city in far-east Russia, and temporarily suspend its operations at the consulate in Yekaterinburg, east of the Ural Mountains.

MOSCOW â Finally free of the shadow of President Trump, the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, is looking to put relations with the United States back on a sound footing with the incoming administration of President-elect Joseph R. Biden Jr.

“Brian Kemp you are a traitor!!” tweeted Mike Lindell, a businessman and activist best known as the founder and face of the My Pillow brand.
Georgia is among states President-elect Joseph R. Biden won in last month’s election, but Mr. Trump has been calling on Mr. Kemp to intervene and take steps to reverse the results of the race there.
Indeed, Mr. Trump called out Mr. Kemp on Twitter twice Friday night following the governor’s tweet, including one in which the president urged him to convene a special session of its state legislature.
