Clarksburg Tavern Cited for Violating County Coronavirus Orders
Clarksburg Tavern, which was the scene of a recent “USA Themed Party” sponsored by Robin Ficker, was issued four citations on Jan. 22 for violating the County Executive’s order that deals with coronavirus.
The violations concern a Jan. 5 party, for which the county received “multiple complaints,” according to Mary Anderson, public information officer with the Montgomery County Health and Human Services.
Clarksburg Tavern was cited for allowing eating inside a restaurant and not enforcing rules concerning social distancing and the wearing of facial coverings. The Tavern on Frederick Road will be reinspected within three business days, according to Anderson.
Deco Pizzeria burglarized, suffered nearly $10,000 in damages

Deco Pizzeria is picking up the pieces from a Sunday morning break in resulting in thousands of dollars in damages.
Owner Jacob Valenzuela told MySA.com the Medical Center location at 2022 Babcock Road was burglarized around 1:30 a.m. Sunday. The patio door and office were damaged in the break in. He estimates damages to be nearly $10,000. An undisclosed amount of money was also taken from the restaurant, he said.
A report was filed with the San Antonio Police Department, but preliminary details are not yet available.

UPDATED Jan. 1, 2021, at 5:30 p.m.: University Health spokesperson Shelly Kofler announced “In less than five hours after opening the online appointments, we scheduled 17,280 people to receive their vaccinations beginning Monday.”
Kofler restated that the hospital has closed registrations for now until they receive more vaccines. “We really had no idea how quickly these slots would fill. We appreciate everyone’s patience as we await the arrival of additional vaccine and the opportunity to provide protection to even more individuals in our community.”

SAN ANTONIO – A man is hospitalized and in critical condition after he was struck by a vehicle on the Northwest Side, according to San Antonio police.
The incident happened around 9 p.m., Saturday, on Fredericksburg Road and Edison Drive.
Police said a 50-year-old man was walking across the street when a driver heading in his direction didn’t see him and struck him with his vehicle.
Update:
A man has been arrested in connection with a Northwest Side robbery on Tuesday, San Antonio police said.
Ross Robert Villarreal, 21, was identified as the suspect in the robbery that happened 8700 block of Cinnamon Creek, Tuesday morning.

According to records, Villareal is facing two counts of felony robbery in the first degree.

A man is facing robbery charges and possibly nursing a headache after a run-in with some would-be victims at an apartment in the Medical Center area early Tuesday morning.
San Antonio police say the victims used a frying pan to hit the man in the head after he barged into their apartment in the middle of the night and tried to rob them at gunpoint.
