MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) – South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster will hold a briefing Tuesday afternoon at the mass COVID-19 vaccination clinic happening in Myrtle Beach.
According to a press release from McLeod Health, the press conference will be held at 2:30 p.m. at the S.C. Hall of Fame at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, where McLeod Health’s vaccination event is being held.
McMaster will be joined by Myrtle Beach Mayor Brenda Bethune, McLeod Health Seacoast administrator Monica Vehige, and Dr. Matthew Weeks, chief medical officer for McLeod Loris Seacoast.

DARLINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – Darlington Raceway is able to accommodate even more South Carolinians during its upcoming mass COVID-19 vaccine event on Friday.
According to information from McLeod Health, Darlington Raceway has received a special exemption to move to Phase 1B for its Friday, March 5 vaccination clinic due to the availability of the vaccine. Organizers plan to administer 5,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses.
On Tuesday, Gov. Henry McMaster announced that Phase 1B would officially begin on Monday, March 8. Those in that phase include everyone aged 55 and older and frontline workers with increased occupational risk, such as teachers and grocery store workers.

McLeod Health will be hosting the event Friday, March 5 at Darlington Raceway where 5,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses will be administered.
