Body recovered from Lake Ontario after search View Comments A body was recovered in Lake Ontario late Sunday afternoon, nearly 24 hours after a boater was reported missing in the same vicinity. The body was found around 4 p.m. Sunday about a quarter of a mile north of the Irondequoit Bay Outlet, according to the Monroe County Sheriff s Office. That is about where a person was seen entering the water, but not resurfacing, at about 6:30 p.m. Saturday. Several local law enforcement units searched from the water and the air to find the missing person. The Monroe County Medical Examiner has not yet determined the person s identity.
