Joannie Lynn Davis, 55, 916 14th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a battery charge and was released on a $500 surety bond. Ronnie Lee Lockhart, 50, 1009 Broadway Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of battery and possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, and was released on a $3,000 surety bond. Anthony Bruce Wade, 18, 104 Grady Drive, Walker, was arraigned on charges of improper disposal and mandatory proof of disposal and was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

Dylan Wesley Malthaner, 18, 2609 Dutch Central Road, Rockport, was arraigned on a child abuse charge and was released on a $3,000 cash bond. Clinton Blair Owens, 58, 1306 Grand View Manor, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of driving with a revoked license and defective equipment and was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond. Curtis Leon Davis Jr., 47, homeless, was arraigned on charges of obstruction and possession of a controlled substance and is being held on a $2,000 surety bond.

editorial@newsandsentinel.com PARKERSBURG A Parkersburg man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a Tuesday afternoon structure fire on 17th Street near City Park in Parkersburg. Police Chief Joe Martin said the Parkersburg Police and Fire Departments collaborated together to arrest Russell William Erb, 26, of Parkersburg, for starting a fire inside a vacant house. The investigation began when a house fire was reported to 911 on Tuesday at 2028 17th Street in Parkersburg. Uniformed officers located a subject close to the scene of the fire and quickly determined this same person was captured on video entering the vacant structure prior to the fire being set.

editorial@newsandsentinel.com PARKERSBURG A Wood County man and woman have been charged with arson and breaking and entering, accused of starting a fire in an apartment building in December, according to criminal complaints in Wood County Magistrate Court. Carl Lee Martin III, 33, of 710 28th St., Vienna, was arrested Dec. 28 after authorities received a complaint from a local construction company that an apartment building they are remodeling on Worthington Lane in Parkersburg was forcefully entered and a fire was started within, a complaint said. A construction company employee confronted Martin and another subject, Rachael Lee Davis, 32, of 506 42nd St., Vienna, who also is also facing charges of arson and breaking and entering, according to an additional criminal complaint in magistrate court.

editorial@newsandsentinel.com VIENNA A Vienna man was arrested on drug charges Thursday by the Parkersburg Narcotics Task Force and the Vienna Police Department. Vienna Police Chief Mike Pifer said task force agents and Vienna officers executed a search warrant at 10 a.m. Thursday at 912 16th St. in Vienna, stemming from ongoing investigation into the distribution of methamphetamine in the area. The search by officers yielded amounts of suspected methamphetamine, fentanyl, and marijuana. Officers also located U.S. currency on the property, he said. Information from the investigation also led officers to a room at the Wingate (by Windham) Hotel, located at 1502 Grand Central Ave. in Vienna. At the hotel officers located Benjamin M. Nash, 36, of Vienna, and Dakota L. Riel, 24, of Davisville. A search warrant was then obtained by the PNTF for the room occupied by the two and a search of the room yielded suspected marijuana and U.S. currency, Pifer said.
