The case rate for Marion County is in the middle of central Indiana counties, despite hosting the NCAA Tournament and having a larger population. “We can hold large events safely if we follow the proper safety protocols,” said Hogsett. “So, let’s keep going until we’re done.” Hogsett said that even though Marion County has reached a plateau, people still need to have their guard up and stay vigilant when it comes to wearing masks, social distancing and getting the vaccine.
