Updated: 9:49 PM CDT July 26, 2021 MINNEAPOLIS A dead body was discovered floating in the Mississippi River around 7:30 p.m. Monday night, several feet from the shore just south of the Franklin Avenue Bridge. According to a press release from the Minneapolis Fire Department, after fire crews were dispatched to recover the body, the Hennepin County Water Patrol took over the scene. The sex and age of the body are still unknown.
