Early Saturday crash leaves 2 kids, 1 adult dead in Maple Grove

Two children and one adult died in a crash early Saturday morning in Maple Grove.
Maple Grove Police Department says the crash was reported at 6:54 a.m. at the intersection of Dunkirk and Lawndale lanes, with officers arriving at the scene to provide medical aid for the victims.
One adult and two children died at the scene, and a second adult was transported to a nearby hospital in an unknown condition, police said.
The identities of the victims will be provided by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner s Office at a later stage.

A man who was gunned down in north Minneapolis Thursday evening died after being transported to North Memorial Medical Center in critical condition.
Minneapolis police spokesperson John Elder said MPD learned of the victim s death early Friday morning. The victim was found on the ground in the area of the 1600 block of West Broadway Avenue after a report of the sound of shots fired around 5:50 p.m. Thursday.
Officers found the man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and he was immediately transported to North Memorial in Robbinsdale. Elder said the seriousness of the man s injuries prompted MPD s homicide unit to begin an investigation at the scene Thursday evening, with police then learning of the victim s death Friday.

Minneapolis police are investigating a suspicious death at a University of Minnesota fraternity house.
They responded to a report of a possible overdose at the 500 block of SE. 10th Avenue at about 2:50 p.m. Tuesday, according police spokesman John Elder. Officers found a man in his 30s dead.
Homicide investigators were on the scene as is customary with suspicious deaths, according to Elder.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner s Office will release the identity of the man and the cause and nature of death.
