TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - For the fifth day in a row, the trauma service area that includes Smith and Gregg counties has had a daily COVID-19 hospitalization rate that was less than 15 percent of its hospitalsâ total capacity.
On Wednesday, the Texas Department of State Health Services reported a hospitalization rate of 14.02 percent for TSA G, which is down from the 14.74 reported on Tuesday.
TSA G hit the seven-day mark on Dec. 21, and as a result, some businesses have been required to scale back to opening at 50-percent of their capacity. Other businesses may be required to close.

TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - For the third day in a row, the trauma service area that includes Smith and Gregg counties has had a daily COVID-19 hospitalization rate that was less than 15 percent of its hospitals’ total capacity.
“While it’s improving, the threat is not gone,” said Dr. Tom Cummins, Chief Medical Officer for UT Health East Texas.
On Monday, the Texas Department of State Health Services reported a hospitalization rate of 14.65 percent for TSA G, which is up from the 14.11 reported on Sunday.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - For the past 43 days, the trauma service area that includes Angelina and Nacogdoches counties have had a hospitalization rate of 15 percent or more of its hospitalsâ total capacity.
On Sunday, the Texas Department of State Health Services reported that TSA Hâs hospitalization was at 15.77 percent, which was down from Saturday. On Saturday, the hospitalization rate was at 17.29 percent.
