In line with the Malaysia Digital Economy Blueprint and MyDIGITAL that were launched on Feb 19, Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin recently announced the Bersama Malaysia initiative by Microsoft. This includes a data centre region investment, commitment to skill one million Malaysians by the end of 2023, collaboration across public and private sectors, and a partnership with the Social & Economic Research Initiative (SERI) to form the MyDIGITAL Alliance Leadership Council a cross-sector collaborative platform bringing together stakeholders across the public sector, private sector, civil society and academia to develop policies fit for the digital era.

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia is among top e-commerce markets in Asean, with gross merchandise value (GMV) expected to have grown 6% year-on-year to US$11.4bil (RM47.04bil) in 2020, according to the Malaysia Digital Economy Corp (MDEC).
In a statement, MDEC noted that at end-2020, a total of 489,000 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) had adopted e-commerce while 378,000 SMEs were trained to utilise e-commerce platforms.

PETALING JAYA: Daikin Malaysia has launched its latest air conditioning cleaning service feature, known as Go Clean on the Go Daikin mobile app.
Launched back in July 2020, the Go Daikin app was developed for the purpose of integrating Daikin’s product and services into a single app in order to capitalise to the digitalisation of the market.
