CHRISTIANSBURG â Body camera footage played Friday in a Montgomery County court showed chaotic scenes as a manâs apparent attack on his wife turned into a shootout with three sheriffâs deputies.
Jammie Lee Duncan, 46, had a preliminary hearing in the countyâs Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court to sort through an array of charges from an incident that began June 11 at his residence in Riner. After hours of testimony, the playing of video recordings â and audio of a teenagerâs 911 call â and the repeated mapping of officerâs movements on printouts of a mobile homeâs floorplan, Judge Robert Viar sent nine felony charges on to a grand jury, which will decide if Duncan should be tried in Circuit Court.

A man is accused of sexually assaulting several women after luring them to go ghost hunting with him, officials said this week.
In a news release, Multi-County Crime Stoppers of Montgomery, Liberty and San Jacinto counties said a joint investigation prompted by several women coming forward led them to David Lynn Turner, 46, of Houston.
Officials said he targeted several of his victims through various social media platforms and dating apps, drove the women to remote locations in San Jacinto County and surrounding counties under the guise of “ghost hunting” and would then force himself sexually on the women in various ways, according to the news release citing officials.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ala. (WSFA) - Interstate 65 is now clear after a wreck involving multiple vehicles Friday afternoon.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said the crash had temporarily blocked all northbound lanes and one southbound lane just south of Hyundai Boulevard in Hope Hull.
No other information about the wreck was avaialble.

BRAZOS VALLEY, TX â The Montgomery County Sheriff s Office is actively looking for potential victims of a man charged with two counts of sexual assault.
David Lynn Turner, 46, was arrested this Tuesday, May 4, as a result of a joint investigation alongside the San Jacinto Sheriff s Office.
According to the Multi-County Crime Stoppers, Turner reportedly targeted women on social media and dating apps. Turner is alleged to have driven these women to remote locations in San Jacinto County, and surrounding counties, under the guise of ghost hunting where he would then assaulted his victims.
