(David Allen/Patch) MARTHA S VINEYARD, MA Tisbury is no longer at high-risk of COVID-19 transmission due to a decrease in positive cases in the town over the last two weeks, according to Thursday s statistics from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. The town had been labeled as a coronavirus red zone since Jan. 7, meaning that it was at the highest risk of transmission and reported over 25 average daily cases in a population of under 10,000 people for a month. It s his first time running for office, although he s been politically active for decades.“I get more done by not being a politician than being a politician, he said. I know city councillors who don’t do a third of what I do.” Lee lives in Dorchester s Melville-Park neighborhood, not far from where former District 4 councillor Charles Yancey, who held the seat from 1983 until he was defeated by Campbell in 2015.

More than 10,000 Cape Codders have received at least one vax dose

State Sen. Julian Cyr, D-Truro, said hundreds of older Cape Codders do not have access to the internet or computer services that are currently required to book vaccination appointments on the state’s scheduling system. But now Cape officials know how to contact many of them and offer assistance, Cyr said during a Cape Cod COVID-19 Response Task Force press teleconference Thursday morning. The individuals came to light during a Wednesday night robocall briefing put on by the task force for Barnstable County residents ages 65 and older. During the town hall-style phone briefing, 604 people on the line responded by dialing “1” when asked if they lacked internet or computer access at home, Cyr said.
