Vaccination bus to roll into Randolph July 29

Residents can get vaccinations aboard the VaxBus as it makes two stops in Randolph Thursday, July 29.
The bus will be at Randolph Town Hall, 4 South Main St., from 9-11 a.m.; and at America s Food Basket, 300 North Main St., from 12:30 - 6:30 p.m.
VaxBus Mobile Vaccination Clinic run by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) field team, and Purple Shield medical staff, will host clinics in 23 municipalities across Massachusetts as part of the VaxBus Tour. The municipalities include those that are part of the Vaccine Equity Initiative and those with lower-than-average vaccination rates. The municipalities chose the clinic locations in central and easy to access locations to reach individuals that may have trouble getting vaccinated in a traditional setting. The two buses will spend one to two days in each municipality, and host one to three clinics per day.

The highly contagious Delta variant has become a major cause of concern in a Cape Cod community following a recent breakout of new COVID-19 infections.
There are now more than 430 active cases of COVID-19 in Provincetown as of Tuesday, July 27, more than triple the cases reported last week, most of which have been linked to the variant.
According to the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, genetic sequencing of initial samples associated with the recent COVID-19 cluster in Provincetown tested positive for the Delta variant.
However, health officials said that the total number of cases among vaccinated people in Massachusetts remains low, at 0.1 percent - or 5,166 cases out of over 4.3 million fully vaccinated residents.
