More loam spreading in the I-495 construction zone in Haverhill means daytime northbound lane closings Wednesday and Thursday.
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation said there will be single right lane closings Wednesday and Thursday, May 5 and 6, from 6 a.m.-2 p.m., on I-495 north, between exits 48 and 50. Crews at the $102 million twin bridge replacement project are spreading loam along the highway and ramp shoulders.
The project is weather dependent and subject to change without notice.

American Legion Post 7 Easton is hosting a Poppy Drive by Mail in May.

MassDOT to start Depot Street reconstruction project
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation is beginning a road improvement project on Depot Street (Route 123), between Newell Circle and Washington Street (Route 138).
This project will include roadway reconstruction and widening, construction of sidewalks and the modification of the Center Street intersection with new traffic signals. The project also includes drainage upgrades, a new water main and new pavement markings and signs. A minimum of one lane of traffic will be maintained on Route 123 at all times during work hours. JOHNSTON, RI The Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) has announced that it will temporarily close Greenville Avenue at the I-295 overpass in Johnston during overnight hours Wednesday, May 5.
The closure will take place from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. and is required to remove a temporary bridge that was built to carry traffic during bridge construction.
Westbound traffic will use the I-295 North on-ramp, get off at Exit 12A, and use I-295 South to Exit 10 to get back to Greenville Avenue. Eastbound traffic will use I-295 South, get off at Exit 9C, and use I-295 North to Exit 10 to Greenville Avenue.
