Worcester Registry of Motor Vehicles moving from downtown to former Big Y location

The Registry of Motor Vehicles service center in Worcester is moving.
The RMV, which has long been centrally located on Main Street in downtown Worcester is moving to a plaza in the southwest corner of the city, according to the Massachusetts Department of Transportation.
The RMV will be located at 50 Southwest Cutoff, a former Big Y location. The RMV is currently located at 611 Main St. in Worcester.
“After completing a competitive procurement process to find a new location for the Worcester Service Center, the MassDOT Registry of Motor Vehicles has confirmed that the new location of the Center will be at 50 SouthWest (SW) Cutoff in Worcester,” MassDOT said in a statement to MassLive. “The new Service Center, which will be located in a former Big Y store, will provide ample free parking and space for customers, staff, hearing officers, and road test ex
