Investigators believe the man, who was not immediately identified, was changing lanes at a high rate of speed when he went off the road and struck a tree, State Police said.

Mourners have been offering their condolences by visiting the Weymouth Police Department, where a growing memorial is just outside.

BRAINTREE, MA A traffic signal will be installed at the intersection of Route 37 and South Street in Braintree, town officials announced Wednesday.
The construction will be completed by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation and is still in the design phase, Mayor Charles Kokoros said. Construction is slated for the end of summer 2021. The installation of this traffic signal is personal to me, and I am grateful to the MassDOT and

The $900 billion stimulus bill passed by the US Congress this week includes language regarding replacement of the Sagamore and Bourne bridges.
