Country music star Tyler Rich reports finding body in state park in Chicopee on New Year’s Eve

CHICOPEE Country music star Tyler Rich reported he was the one who found the body of a man on New Year’s Eve in Chicopee Memorial State Park.
Rich, who is married to Sabina Gadecik, a model and actress from Chicopee, said he was running in the park, had crossed over the dam and into an untraveled wooded area at the base of the hill when he saw a man, who he assumed was homeless, lying facedown with a bag on his foot. Rich said he assumed he was sleeping.

DARTMOUTH A New Bedford pedestrian was killed in a crash New Year s Eve, according to Dartmouth Police.
On Thursday, Dec. 31, at approximately 9:55 p.m., Dartmouth Police, along with other emergency personnel, responded to the area of 597 State Road, after receiving several calls that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle.
Upon arrival, officers confirmed that a female pedestrian, identified as Wendy Tolley, 56, of New Bedford, had been struck by a 2006 Toyota Prius, being operated by a 24-year-old Dartmouth woman. Though emergency care was rendered to Tolley, she died as a result of her injuries.

The 34-year-old singer opened up about the heart-wrenching experience on social media, before applauding first responders and members of the armed forces for being able to look death in the eye every day and continue to live their everyday lives.
Still shaken, he explained he was fairly far off from where anyone else would be running in a heavily wooded area, before saying he thought he saw a young homeless man sleeping.
New Bedford Woman Killed in Dartmouth Pedestrian Crash
A New Bedford woman is dead after being struck by a car on Rt. 6 in Dartmouth on New Year s Eve.
On Thursday, December 31, at approximately 9:55 p.m., Dartmouth police and other emergency personnel responded to the area of 597 State Road after receiving several calls that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle.
Officers confirmed that a female pedestrian, identified as 56-year-old Wendy Tolley of New Bedford, had been struck by a 2006 Toyota Prius being operated by a 24-year-old Dartmouth woman, the Dartmouth Police Department said in a media release.
Emergency care was rendered to Tolley, but she died as a result of her injuries, the department said. A part of State Road was closed for several hours while officers investigated the crash.
