Editor’s note: Dryden High School determines their top academic honors using a formula that combines GPA and SAT scores. As a result, Miya Wolff is the Class of 2021 valedictorian and Claire Sobek is the salutatorian. The following Top Ten lists students based on their GPA rank.
DRYDEN The time has come for Dryden High School to send off the Class of 2021 with words of encouragement and well wishes. The district’s commencement ceremony is on tap for this Sunday, June 6, at 5 p.m. on Stremler Field.
Among the group of graduates set to receive their diplomas in a few days’ time are those seniors who were the top academic achievers and comprise Dryden’s Top Ten for 2021.
Gallery features printmaker in new exhibit
The artist uses her passion as a gardener and fascination with the natural world to explore themes of environmental and ecological importance through printmaking.

AITKIN Woodland images are the focus for printmaker Emily Gray Koehler in a new exhibit of her work at Ripple River Gallery near Aitkin.
“A Forest for the Trees” opens June 9 and continues through July 4 at the gallery near Bay Lake. A reception to meet the artist is 2-4 p.m. June 12. The public is invited to attend.

United Federal Credit Union is rounding out its leadership team after the acquisition of Edgewater Bank.
United Federal last week announced the addition of four employees Rick Dyer, Maria Kibler, Dawn Lara and Shannon Murphy to its leadership team following its recent acquisition of St. Joseph-based Edgewater Bank.
All four are former Edgewater employees who will serve the credit union and its members in positions ranging from community president to mortgage manager in southwest Michigan.
