The Grand Rapids Griffins are postponing two games this weekend due to COVID-19 protocol.
The Griffins were scheduled to take on the Cleveland Monsters on Friday night in Cleveland and return home on Saturday to face the Rockford IceHogs.
Makeup dates have not yet been scheduled for the games.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The American Hockey League on Friday announced that the Grand Rapids Griffins games scheduled for tonight on the road against the Cleveland Monsters and tomorrow at home versus the Rockford IceHogs have both been postponed due to league COVID-19 protocols affecting the Griffins.
Make-up dates have not yet been determined. As of this time, all tickets for Saturday’s game will be valid for the new game date. Ticket holders who want more information or would prefer to request a refund may visit

DETROIT The Detroit Red Wings today recalled left wings Mathias Brome and Taro Hirose from the American Hockey League s Grand Rapids Griffins and reassigned defenseman Gustav Lindstrom to the team s taxi squad from the Griffins.
Brome appeared in two games with the Griffins after he was reassigned to the team on March 29 and picked up his first two AHL points (1-1-2). The 26-year-old has also skated in 24 games with the Red Wings this season, recording one goal and eight penalty minutes in 13:33 average time on ice.
