After 15 seasons of professional hockey defenseman
Brent Seabrook has called it a career following a trio of surgeries and setbacks that ultimately made the decision for him. Seabrook played four-plus seasons for the Lethbridge Hurricanes that added up to 264 games. He also scored 39 times and added 137 assists. Seabrook was drafted 14th overall by the Chicago Blackhawks at the 2003 NHL Draft and went on to play 1114 games in the NHL. Seabrook retires with 103 goals and 361 assists as well as three Stanley Cup championships, an Olympic gold medal, a U18 gold medal, a U20 gold and silver medal.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. â March means hockey to 750 lucky Griffins fans as MDHHS allows limited numbers into Van Andel Arena.
The first home games will be the week before St. Patrick s Day for games against the Rockford IceHogs on Saturday, March 13th and Tuesday, March 16th. Season ticket holders get first pick for these games and the rest of the season. The Griffins say they will be notifying fans of available tickets for the remainder of the season through the Griffins Nation newsletter.
The team is also offering deals for fans signing up to become Full Season or 20-Game Plan members for the 21- 22 season including access to the best seats in the house and a free pass to AHLTV to see every game from home. if you haven t had enough time there.

West Michigan loves its hockey and loves the Griffins and I am sure they are stoked to be able to get back into Van Andel Arena to support their team.
According to WOOD, Saturday March 13 the Griffins take on the Rockford IceHogs and now 750 fans will be able to start attending games. It will be season ticket holder that will get first dibs on watching games in person.
So far this season the only people attending Griffins home games have been family members and a few friends but that number was capped off at 100.
