February 11, 2021 THE Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in Negros Occidental-North has awarded 21.1138 hectares of land to 40 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in a certificate of land ownership award (Cloa) distribution and installation rites held in Cadiz City recently.

The activity involves the landholding formerly owned by Carmen Consing located in Barangay Andres Bonifacio in the northern Negros Occidental locality.
DAR-Negros Occidental I said the 21-hectare land was distributed by the DAR through land acquisition and distribution under the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program Extension with Reforms (Carper).

DILG Undersecretary and spokesperson Jonathan Malaya said that all LGUs must install road signs in areas that were cleared “as a visible warning so that people will not park or place obstructions in those roads again.’’
“The challenge to the road clearing program is sustainability, so we need more signs in our road network as visual cues to people not to violate our traffic laws and regulations again. This will also be a guide to law enforcement in maintaining law and order in our streets,” Malaya said.
The DILG also directed the Philippine National Police (PNP) to closely assist the LGUs in their road-clearing operations especially if the LGU teams are facing stubborn residents.
