The Keta Municipal Assembly in the Volta Region has kicked out nine of its office holders over their alleged involvement in some financial misappropriations.
The officers according to the assembly, have caused financial loss to the Municipality and must vacant their post with immediate effect for investigations to begin.
Mr Amos Ametsime, the Presiding Member in his pronouncements during the Assembly s meeting on Wednesday, April 28, disclosed that the nine office holders have either connived or have been negligent in drawing back the activities of the assembly.

The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has cut the sod for the commencement of work on a new Court of Appeal complex and permanent residential facilities for Court of Appeal judges, all to be located in Kumasi.
Performing the sod-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, 20th April 2021, in the presence of Chief Justice Anin Yeboah, and the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu, President Akufo-Addo noted that with only one Court of Appeal structure located in the heart of our nation’s capital, in Accra, it has meant that appellate proceedings in the northern sector of our country have been slow, resulting in a considerable backlog of cases requiring the attention of the Court of Appeal.

A ground breaking ceremony for the construction of 20 residential facilities for Court of Appeal judges in Kumasi was held on Tuesday.
Supported by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, and the Chief Justice, Justice Kwasi Anin Yeboah, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo cut the sod to signify the beginning of construction works for the accommodation facilities.
This will serve as permanent residences for Court of Appeal Judges based in Kumasi and mandated to handle cases in the northern part of Ghana.
There is a Court of Appeal complex already in Kumasi but since there are no permanent residential accommodation for the judges, they normally commute Accra and Kumasi to handle cases.
