3-Year-Old Child Killed By Dog At Carteret Home, Prosecutor Says

UpdatedWed, Mar 17, 2021 at 1:04 pm ET Replies(27) (Rachel Nunes/Patch) CARTERET, NJ A 3-year-old child was killed and his mother severely injured when they were attacked by a pair of pit bulls at a private home in Carteret on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Middlesex County Prosecutor s office. The dog attack happened at a private home on Laurel Street, said Carteret Mayor Dan Reiman. The attack happened at approximately 4:29 p.m. Two pit bulls from a neighboring home on Birch Street in Carteret entered through the backyard of a home on Laurel Street and attacked the 3-year-old boy and his mother, said Reiman.

March 17 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (Cartaret, NJ/77WABC)-Two dogs reportedly belonging to a neighbor somehow broke through a fenced-in area of a neighbors yard in Cartaret, NJ,  fatally attacking a 3-year-old boy and seriously injuring his Mother around 4:30 pm on Tuesday. Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Town Police Chief Dennis McFadden announced the child died at a hospital. His mother remains hospitalized after being severely injured however her condition has not been released. Officials say the incident happened on East Laurel Street in Carteret.   The name of the child and his mother have not been released. The investigation is active and continuing. Woman, driving with a suspended license, charged with fatally injuring man in East Brunswick

MyCentralJersey.com EAST BRUNSWICK - A 39-year-old Port Norris woman has been charged with fatally striking a man with a tractor trailer in the township, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Chief Frank LoSacco of the East Brunswick Police Department said in a release. Kimberly Holmes was arrested and charged Tuesday with third-degree causing death or injury, while driving with a suspended license, authorities said. At about 6:12 a.m., authorities responded to 19A Cottage Lane following a report of an unconscious male laying on a warehouse loading dock. Upon their arrival, authorities located Uttam Sharma, 43, of Jackson Heights, New York, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
