NEW ULM Saturday night was prom night for two New Ulm schools. New Ulm HIgh School held its prom with a “Roaring Twenties” theme. Grand marches were held in the NUHS Auditorium and the gym to spread out the crowd. Among the activities was a photo booth where couples could dress up, like Kyle Esser and Bryn Kraus, pictured here.
At Minnesota Valley Lutheran, students also held a march in their gymnasium. Dylan Birkholz, left, and Nadine Clobes were one of the 18 or so couples attending.

New Ulm Park and Recreation employee Josh Kretsch blows leaves behind the Johnson Park baseball field grandstand Thursday. Minnesota Valley Lutheran opens its high school baseball season against Mankato Loyola at 5 p.m. Thursday, April 8, at Mueller Park. New Ulm High School hosts Worthington at 5:30 p.m. April 8, at NUHS. Cathedral High school hosts Wabasso at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 12.
