NEW ULM, Minn. (KEYC) â The bar is high for the Minnesota Valley Lutheran boysâ basketball program, with an appearance in the section title the last two seasons.
So, when the group saw four losses over a six game stretch in February, something was going to change.
âWhat I was seeing, and what some of the other guys were seeing, we all talked about it and they said âYeah, weâre all in, weâre going to make these changes for the betterment of the teamâ,â head coach Craig Morgan said.

NEW ULM, Minn. (KEYC) â The Minnesota Valley Lutheran girlsâ basketball squad is 10-3 with six regular-season games remaining.
The consensus amongst the group is to win out.
âWeâve got a good group of juniors and seniors this year, and with all the COVID-19 stuff like that, it was kind of a question as to whether or not weâd be able to play and when we were given the green light to go ahead and play and the girls really have been responding well and enjoying the season,â Head Coach Rollin Timm said.
Tragedy hits home
THUMBS DOWN: News of a mass shooting anywhere is hard to hear. When one occurs in your home state, it is harder still. But to hear that the Allina clinic shooting in Buffalo took the life of someone from here, someone lots of people knew, a friend, a family member it’s the hardest of all.
To the family of Lindsay Overbay, the 37-year-old mother of two who died as she worked as a medical assistant at the clinic, we can only offer our heartfelt grief and condolences. There’s little we can say except that Lindsay touched the lives of many who remember her with love.

While the COVID-19 pandemic has altered everyone’s way of life in 2020, recruiters at Martin Luther College have remained positive in the toughest of times in their careers at the college.
Currently students are off campus, but there’s hope that they will be able to return in January, and if they’re not, the school will resume online classes instead of in person.
