For sale is a 10′ pram/tender designed by L. Francis Herreshoff (built to plans from Mystic Seaport Museum) who considered the pram the best model for a small tender. The pram has a low freeboard and will stow well on deck. The pram is constructed of Atlantic cedar lapstrake planking over steam bent white oak frames. Transoms are mahogany and keel is of white oak. Plank fastenings are copper rivets in addition to silicone bronze screws and bolts. The pram comes with one pair of 6′ hand crafted oars with hand sewn leathers. The pram is bright finished (varnish) inside and out. Asking price is $3,750. Cannot ship, pram must be picked up in Lake Bluff, IL.

Greetings: Mystic Seaport Museum has opened their on-line registration for the John Gardner Small Craft Workshop to be held Memorial Day Weekend. Either enter “Small Craft Workshop” in the Search box on the Seaport’s Home Page or click this Link: https://www.mysticseaport.org/events/small-craft-workshop/ which will take you to the event page at the bottom of which is a button to register.
After an initial Log-in you will be presented an opportunity to purchase a $20 ticket (good all weekend), describe your boat, if you bring one, and volunteer, if you wish, to lead a demonstration or help staff the booth. A confirmation email will then appear in your in-box with electronic tickets and a copy of a Welcome to Participants letter which not only describes Workshop Activities but also includes a section on Workshop Logistics (check-in times, loading in and out of boats and parking).
