Fighter on Fighter: Breaking down UFC 264’s Dustin Poirier
Share this story
Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) interim Lightweight kingpin, Dustin Poirier, will look to settle his trilogy opposite the biggest name in mixed martial arts (MMA), Conor McGregor, this Saturday (July 10, 2021) at UFC 264 inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Poirier may not have the official title in his hands, but “The Diamond” doesn’t appear too stressed. After all, he’s got a similar-looking belt in his closet already, a few additional zeroes in his bank account, and the chance to expand upon that figure once again in this trilogy match. Oh, and Poirier is currently ranked as the top Lightweight contender and sixth-best pound-for-pound fighter on the planet. Long story short, Poirier is sitting pretty, looking to get paid dispatching McGregor one final time before returning to the title mix.
