Mumbai: Petrol price touches Rs 97 per litre, diesel crosses Rs 88 mark

Petrol and diesel prices in Mumbai were hiked for the 12th consecutive day on Saturday. Petrol has touched Rs 97 per litre mark today whereas diesel is priced at Rs 88.06 per litre.
While petrol was hiked by 38 paise, diesel price escalated after a hike of 39 paise.

The price of petrol in the financial capital of the country was Rs 96.62 per litre on Friday, 96.32 on Thursday, Rs 96 on Wednesday, 95.75 on Tuesday and 95.46 on Monday.
On the other hand, diesel was priced at Rs 87.67 on Friday as compared to Rs 87.32 on Thursday, Rs 86.98 on Wednesday, Rs 86.72 on Tuesday and Rs 86.34 on Monday.

Diesel prices in the national capital saw an upward revision from â¹ 76.83 per litre to â¹ 77.13 per litre, according to Indian Oil Corporation, the country s largest fuel retailer.Â
Following todayâs rate revision, the petrol prices in Mumbai stood at â¹ 93.49 per litre and diesel at â¹ 83.99 per litre, the highest among all four metros.
