COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Nearly 400 positions were available at a job fair hosted by Goodwill Southern Rivers Wednesday.
People came in between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. to the Midtown Career Center. Some employees that were in attendance include the Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office, McDonald’s, First Credit Services, and the YMCA.
The wages offered were between $9 and $17. Goodwill Southern Rivers’ career center manager, Denise Eckley, gave some tips for anyone who is seeking a job.
A woman who was shot and wounded was in stable condition Tuesday afternoon, Ms Hamlin said.
Authorities have not released the victims names.
Ms Hamlin described the slain youths as âsmall childrenâ but said police do not yet have their exact ages.
She said authorities don t know a motive but do not believe any other suspects are involved.

Ms Hamlin said the suspect and victims all lived in the home, but that the exact nature of their relationships had not been determined.

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - A house fire in Columbus Wednesday evening caused major damage, but luckily left no one injured thanks to the response of several sheriffâs deputies.
Muscogee County Sheriff Greg Countryman says that Deputy Christopher Bryant was in the area of 3rd Ave. and 38th St. Wednesday evening when he saw smoke in the neighborhood. Dep. Bryant took it upon himself to investigate and found a home in the 3800 block of 3rd Ave. that was on fire.
