Several sources are reporting that a male in his 20 s was shot and killed while driving during the overnight into Tuesday morning. Colonie Police are ruling the death a homicide and believe the man inside the car attempted to flee the scene but lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the Motel 6 in Colonie.
The Daily Gazette is reporting that the incident took place at around 1:45AM on Tuesday morning. Shortly after, Colonie Police responded to a call about a car that had crashed into the Motel 6. The report states that upon arrival, Colonie Police were able to ascertain that the man inside the vehicle was the casualty of a homicide and died from the gunshot wound, not from crashing his car into the Motel 6 at 2700 Curry Road.
