Armed men carjack paraplegic victim s modified vehicle in Brighton, police say

BRIGHTON, Colo. Police were looking for armed suspects who carjacked a modified vehicle belonging to a paraplegic victim on Monday morning, according to the Brighton Police Department (BPD).
Officers responded to a report of the carjacking about 9:45 a.m. at 100 S. Miller Ave., according to a BPD spokesperson.
The victim, who s in a wheelchair, told officers he was outside an apartment and unloading groceries from his 2019 maroon Dodge Challenger, which was modified for his needs.

DENVER A woman faces a litany of charges – including first-degree murder – after her missing boyfriend’s body was found buried in the backyard of his Denver home.
The suspect, 45-year-old Kimberly Cottle, was arrested on Dec. 17 near Reno, Nevada, according to a news release from the Denver Police Department (DPD).
The victim, 42-year-old Eusivio Luevano, was first reported missing on Nov. 12 and had not been seen for several months, DPD said. His last known location was at his home in the 4700 block of North Fillmore Street.

WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. When a woman got into a running vehicle that wasn t hers Saturday morning outside a store, a clerk who worked there tried to stop her and was hit by the vehicle, according to the Wheat Ridge Police Department (WRPD).
About 7 a.m. Saturday, police responded to a report of an unwanted person in a business in the 4700 block of Kipling Street, near the intersection with Interstate 70, WRPD said.
As officers arrived on scene, they witnessed the suspect, identified as Ashley Alvarez, 29, get into the vehicle. As she drove away, she hit the clerk, who was trying to stop her, according to police.

AURORA, Colo. â A 62-year-old man died after he was struck by a vehicle in south Aurora, and police are asking for your help to find the suspect.
The man, whose identity was not immediately released, was struck at the intersection of E. Iliff Avenue and South Peoria Street at around 7:30 p.m. Friday, according to a news release from the Aurora Police Department.
Investigators say a passerby found the man lying in the roadway and called police.
The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment but died from his injuries shortly after, police said.
