Gloucester County residents in particular, but also those from Mount Laurel to Linden, usually think about the Colonial Pipeline running through their neighborhoods only when an infrequent leak occurs.
Today, all of New Jersey and the entire East Coast is thinking about the Colonial Pipeline, because it’s currently delivering zero gallons of gasoline, diesel and aviation fuels due to a ransomware attack that was first reported Friday.
The shutdown idled 15 to 20% of the nation’s petroleum-product supply that travels by pipeline. But, on the East Coast, Colonial carries close to 40% of all such fuel.
Man charged with animal cruelty after forcing dog to jump with 10-pound weight on its neck, cops say

Felipe Echevarria, 33, of West Deptford Township, was heard on a video posted to his Instagram page in which a dog is shown with a 10-pound weight tied around her neck, according to his affidavit of probable cause.
He allegedly ordered the dog to jump onto the hood of a car and then the roof of the vehicle, police said.
Echevarria provided a taped statement admitting to the incident, according to police.
The page on which the video appeared was not visible as of Friday afternoon.
