We already know who wins, right?
Handicapping drag races is like handicapping horse races, everyone thinks they can do it, but few do it well. You can t just take the power figures and run with them, nor the drivers, nor the reaction times. Even looking at the tires alone will do you no favors. Take this example of a Japan vs. Germany drag race featuring the Lexus RC F and the Mercedes-AMG C63 S.
On paper, the AMG C63 S wins this, hands down. It s 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 makes 503 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. All of which is sent through a nine-speed multiclutch to the rear wheels, which are shod in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires. That last bit will be come important. The Lexus RC F uses a naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 making 472 hp but just 395 lb-ft of torque. The Lexus is wearing the new (and less aggressive) Michelin Pilot Sport 4S rubber and weighs about 50 pounds more than the Benz.
This current generation of Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio is getting a bit old now, nearing the end of its life-cycle. Even still, it’s among the best sport sedans in the world, potentially even the very best. Its blend of brilliant chassis balance, sweet steering, lively dynamics, punchy engine, and beautiful style make it hugely desirable, even though many of its competitors are a bit newer. Now, though, Alfa has released an even more hardcore, extreme version of the Giulia Quadrifoglio and, now that review embargos have lifted, it seems to be a sport sedan-slayer the Alfa Romeo Giula GTAm.
Small Danish exotic automaker Zenvo Automotive has brought the TSR-S to the United Kingdom. The limited edition hypercar will meet customers and aficionados in a comprehensive event program this summer that will include dynamic and static displays.

Alfa Romeo doesn t often deliver a stripped-out, limited-edition performance car – especially one wearing the fabled GTA badge – so when it does it s time to sit up, take notice and watch the houses of M and AMG glance nervously over their shoulders.
The Giulia GTA – or Gran Turismo Alleggerita to give it its proper title – refers to the lightweight element of a car based on the Quadrifoglio super saloon. And yet, while weight reduction – down 100kg to 1,580kg – is significant, it s nowhere near as big a jump as the price tag. The GTA comes in at around £152k, while the even lighter GTAm (precise differences explained shortly) is £156k. The regular QV, remember, is a comparative snip £67k.
