Tangorra has served the district since 2015. In a letter to the community, he explained that he had not been actively searching for new opportunities but when approached decided the move was best for himself and his family.
“This does not make leaving Niskayuna any easier,” Tangorra said in the letter to the community. “In addition to the progress that we made together in that time, I have personally enjoyed working with all of you outstanding students, faculty and staff, caring and committed families, and a community that supports and values education. I also deeply believe that we are headed in the right direction as a school system when you consider the exciting capital project, our equity and anti-racism

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. The pandemic changed the way students learn and some of those practices will stay for awhile, like remote learning.
All schools in Washington will be required to offer in-person, full-time learning this upcoming school year. The Washington Department of Health announced that a few weeks ago.
Many students needed to be back in class to learn but some kids actually thrived learning online during the pandemic. Some schools will now give more options to families to help kids learn in their best environment. Remote learning will be an option in some school districts.

Central Valley School District (CVSD) is seeking statements of qualifications for the General Contractor/Construction Manager for the New Kramer Transportation Center using the procedure permitted under Chapter 39.10 of the RCW, as amended, for selected school projects for public works contracting in lieu of sealed bids. CVSD is agency approved for the use of GC/CM in the state of Washington and thereby does not need to seek approval from the Project Review Committee. CVSD is electing to use the GC/CM contracting method due to the project’s proximity to an occupied school, as well as an aggressive schedule in order to meet CVSD’s needs.
