Kentucky State Police investigating fatal crash during pursuit KSP investigates fatal crash MCCRACKEN CO., KY (WSIL) - Kentucky State Police say two people are dead after a car crash in McCracken County, Kentucky. They say one of the deceased is the driver of a car who was in a pursuit. Police say the crash happened Monday, August 2 around 1:45 p.m. The McCracken County Sheriff s Office contacted Kentucky State Police to investigate a crash at the intersection of US Highway 60 and Cairo Road. The Sheriff s Department said one of the cars was fleeing from police. An initial investigation says 27-year-old Lamont X. Young of De Soto, Illinois, was driving a Honda Civic. Police say he was fleeing from a Sheriff s Deputy who tried to arrest Young.
